Our Story
Humble Start Strong Future
Our founder and CEO, Milton Portillo, is part of our Success Stories. Born in EL Salvador, Milton knows poverty, lack of education, and community disparity firsthand. After arriving in America, Milton attended John C. Maxwell school and became a certified trainer, coach, and speaker, where he found his calling in helping others.
Milton began Clap For Success in 2018 by self-funding all the opportunities. He returned to El Salvador after 38 years and saw a need, and took action. He has assisted with small business assistance to individuals, given scholarship assistance to others, and offered emergency assistance. His family has joined in the efforts. His wife and three children are highly involved in finding ways to help their community and others.
Growing Nonprofit
Milton's generosity and goodwill have attracted others to join in increasing the impact that Clap for Success has started. This has begun the process of building an organization to include a Board of Directors and partners/sponsors.
We invite you to join us in changing people's lives and helping them become leaders who will continue the work and values our communities desperately need.
The Future
Our vision future includes having an abundance of Mentors & Coaches that would be a big part of programs. Young adults who grow up with mentors are 130% more likely to hold leadership roles in the future. We hope to be able to contribute more to these statistics.
Providing education to impoverished areas is a high priority for Clap For Success. In the future, we hope to raise funds to build schools in underprivileged countries to assist with education, provide resources, and create leaders within those communities.
